Dhaka: A mobile court of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today fined a company Taka one lakh for producing and marketing harmful cosmetics in the capital’s Dakhinkhan Thana area. The operation was conducted by DMP Executive Magistrate and Senior Assistant Secretary Md Al Imran, who led the raid at the company named Mountain Consumer Limited.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the company was found to be manufacturing and selling various cosmetic products, including oils under the name ‘Organic Hair Oil’, which were deemed harmful to health. The police press release detailed the actions taken during the raid, emphasizing the importance of ensuring public safety in the production and distribution of cosmetic products.
