Dhaka: The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has announced a ban on public gatherings, processions, and rallies in areas surrounding the official residence of the Chief Adviser, Jamuna, and the Bangladesh Secretariat. This restriction is effective immediately and will remain in place until further notice.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, DMP Commissioner SM Sazzat Ali issued a public notice detailing the ban, which has been implemented under Section 29 of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Ordinance, 1976. The measure aims to ensure the security of the Chief Adviser.
The restriction extends to several key locations, including the Hotel Intercontinental intersection, Kakrail Mosque intersection, Officers' Club intersection, and Mintoo Road.
