Dhaka: The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1,403 cases across the capital for traffic rule violations. These cases were filed on April 25 during a routine drive against traffic rule violators.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP's release detailed that during the campaign, traffic police also dumped 319 motor vehicles and towed 150 vehicles. The campaign aimed to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets and facilitate smoother movement for city dwellers.
The press release elaborated that the cases were distributed among various traffic divisions: Ramna Traffic Division filed 67 cases, Lalbagh 163, Motijheel 390, Wari 119, Tejgaon 184, Mirpur 310, Uttara 105, and Gulshan 65 cases. These cases targeted motor vehicles, three-wheelers, and motorcycles.
The DMP Traffic Division is actively working to streamline the traffic system in the capital. The ongoing efforts are aimed at ensuring easier movement for city residents.
