DMP Files 810 Cases for Traffic Law Violations in City

Dhaka: The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) today filed a total of 810 cases against vehicles for violating traffic laws in different parts of the capital during a special drive.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Ramna Traffic Division has filed 67 cases, including against six buses, four covered vans, six CNG-run auto-rickshaws, and 25 motorcycles. The Lalbagh Traffic Division has filed 63 cases against different vehicles, including six buses, one truck, two covered vans, three CNGs, and 32 motorcycles.



The Motijheel Traffic Division has filed 57 cases against different automobiles, including three buses, four covered vans, nine CNGs, and 32 motorcycles. The Wari Traffic Division has filed 145 cases against buses, trucks, covered vans, CNGs, and motorcycles.



Meanwhile, the Tejgaon Traffic Division has filed 69 cases against motor vehicles, including four buses, three trucks, five covered vans, five CNGs, and 26 motorcycles. The Mirpur Traffic Division has filed 88 cases against buses, trucks, covered vans, CNGs, and motorcycles.



The Uttara Traffic Division has filed 224 cases, while the Gulshan Traffic Division filed 97 cases against buses, trucks, covered vans, CNGs, and motorcycles. During the drive, a total of 348 vehicles were dumped, and 158 vehicles were towed away. Police said the traffic drive by the DMP will continue to maintain traffic discipline in the city.
