Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 2,305 cases across the capital for violating traffic rules.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division initiated these cases and fines over the last day on September 10 through a regular drive targeting traffic rule violators. This information was disclosed via a press release signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
The press release stated that during the campaign, the DMP traffic police also dumped 363 motor vehicles and towed 56 vehicles. These actions are part of an ongoing effort to enforce traffic rules and maintain discipline on Dhaka’s streets, aiming to facilitate easier movement for city dwellers.
