Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1846 cases across the capital for violating traffic rules. This information was confirmed in a press release issued here today, signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division has filed these cases and realized fines during the last one day on October 20 through regular drives against traffic rule breakers. During the drive, a total of 379 vehicles were impounded and 116 others were towed.
The DMP information further stated that the drive will continue to bring discipline on Dhaka's streets.
