Dhaka: The Traffic Division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed 1,744 cases against traffic law violators during drives conducted in different parts of the capital. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the drives, police also dumped 504 vehicles and towed away 265 others.
The DMP spokesman reported that the Ramna Traffic Division filed 86 cases, Lalbagh 143, Mitijheel 295, Wari 197, Tejgaon 212, Mirpur 382, Uttara 250, and Gulshan 189. The enforcement operations took place on Tuesday, July 25, aiming to address traffic violations.
The DMP emphasized that these drives were part of ongoing efforts to maintain traffic discipline across the metropolitan area. The traffic division plans to continue such enforcement activities to ensure compliance with traffic regulations in Dhaka.
