DMP Files 1,724 Cases for Violating Traffic Rules

Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1,724 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules. The campaign aimed to uphold traffic discipline in the bustling city.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division carried out this extensive operation on July 27 as part of their regular drive against traffic rule violators. The initiative also involved the collection of fines from offenders.



DMP sources revealed that during the campaign, 261 motor vehicles were dumped, and 105 vehicles were towed. The authorities emphasized that these enforcement drives will continue in order to ensure discipline on Dhaka’s streets.
