Dhaka: The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 1,582 cases in a single day across the capital for violating traffic rules.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DMP Traffic Division conducted the enforcement on March 17 as part of a regular drive against traffic rules violators, as stated in a press release issued today. The release detailed that 199 motor vehicles were dumped and 54 vehicles were wrecked during this campaign.
The press release further indicated that these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue with the aim of ensuring discipline on Dhaka’s streets. The DMP traffic division is working towards streamlining the traffic system in the capital to facilitate easier movement for city dwellers.
