Dhaka: The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed 1,373 cases over traffic rule violations in the capital on Saturday. The drives aimed to ensure discipline on city streets, according to a press release issued by DMP deputy commissioner (media and public relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the drives, 153 motor vehicles were dumped and 76 vehicles were wrecked. The DMP press release also mentioned that such drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on the streets and offer city dwellers smooth movement.
