Dhaka:Police have apprehended 54 individuals in separate special operations in the Lalbagh and Jatrabari areas of the capital for their alleged involvement in various criminal activities.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) conducted these operations yesterday, as detailed in two press releases issued by Mohammad Akter Hossain, Deputy Commissioner of the DMP Media and Public Relations Division.
In the operations carried out in Lalbagh, 35 individuals were arrested across different crime-prone areas under six police stations. Specifically, Lalbagh police arrested 10 people, Kotwali police 10, Kamrangirchar police eight, Bangshal police three, Sutrapur police two, and Chawkbazar police two.
In a separate drive within the Jatrabari police station area, 19 people were detained for alleged criminal activities. Legal proceedings against those arrested are currently underway, and the individuals have been presented in court.
