Dhaka: The district-based Men’s Handball League has officially commenced at the Birshreshtha Noor Mohammad Stadium in Narail district. The league was inaugurated by the Narail district Additional Deputy Commissioner (general), Linkon Biswas, who attended as the chief guest. The event is organized by the Bangladesh Handball Federation (BHF) and is sponsored by Moushumi Industries Limited.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the opening ceremony of the league was graced by the presence of Sayed Ahmed, the Cute district-based Handball League Coordinator and BHF Technical Committee Joint Member Secretary, who attended as the special guest. The ceremony began with a rally, setting an enthusiastic tone for the event.
Md Kamruzzaman, the Narail District Sports Officer and Member Secretary of the Narail District Sports Association, presided over the opening ceremony. The league will see participation from a total of 24 clubs over an 11-day period, showcasing the sporting prowess and enthusiasm for handball in
the region.
