Thakurgaon: A discussion titled "Usage, Development and Expansion of Renewable Energy" was held in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) here today. Infrastructure Development Company Limited (IDCOL) organized the discussion.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, DC Israt Farzana was present as the chief guest at the event, with Executive Director of IDCOL Alamgir Morshed chairing the session. Speakers at the discussion emphasized the importance of adopting and implementing accurate and sustainable plans to increase the use of renewable energy and reduce emissions.
Alamgir Morshed highlighted various sources of renewable energy during the discussion, which included geothermal energy, solar power, wind power, hydropower, ocean waves, ocean thermal energy, tides, biogas, and biofuel.
