Mymensingh: BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh Prince has emphasized the need for establishing a discrimination-free state grounded in equality and humanity by restoring democracy in line with the aspirations of the 2024 July uprising. He addressed these remarks while serving as the chief guest at a workers' rally at the sadar union of Dhobaura upazila in Mymensingh.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Emran Saleh Prince stressed the importance of honest, selfless, dedicated, and committed workers in fulfilling public aspirations and promises. He called on everyone to prepare for the responsibility and challenges that come with meeting the high expectations people have from the BNP.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining popularity after winning elections, he urged party members to focus on fulfilling public expectations and commitments. Prince advised leaders and activists to abandon the mindset of "what did I get?" and instead think about "what am I giving or able to give to the country and the people?" He also emphasized the need for earning through lawful and ethical means.
Referring to the stance of BNP's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Prince noted that individuals who break party discipline or tarnish its image will not be tolerated, regardless of their dedication or power. He reiterated that politics should be about selfless service to the country and its people, which is the core principle of BNP's politics.
The rally was presided over by Dhobaura upazila BNP Convener Prof Azharul Islam Kajol and conducted by Member Secretary Anisur Rahman Monik. The event also featured speeches by Upazila BNP Joint Conveners Moazzem Hossain Khan Liton, Abdul Momen Shahin, Jubo Dal leader Faruk Hossain, Rozel Biswas, Upazila Swechchhasebak Dal Convener Imran Hossain, and Member Secretary Kamrul Hasan Sumon.
Earlier, Syed Emran Saleh Prince distributed exam supplies among HSC examinees in Haluaghat. He attended farewell ceremonies for HSC candidates at Haluaghat Women's Degree College and Haluaghat Shaheed Smriti Government Degree College, where he handed over exam kits to the students. The supplies included transparent plastic file covers, pens, pencils, erasers, rulers, sharpeners, and other necessary items.
