Dhaka, Kuala Lumpur Keen to Enhance Religious Cooperation

Dhaka: Bangladesh and Malaysia have agreed to strengthen cooperation in the field of religious affairs. Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad and Malaysian Religious Affairs Minister Dr Zulkifli Hasan reached this agreement during a virtual meeting held on Tuesday, as stated in a handout today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Kaikobad emphasized the exchange of mutual experiences and best practices in the development of Hajj management, zakat administration, and the religious education system. He highlighted the importance of increasing efficiency in conducting Hajj activities, ensuring transparency in zakat management, and developing the capacity of the concerned officials.



During the meeting, both ministers expressed their hope to further enhance cooperation in the field of religious affairs between the two countries in the future. Additionally, they discussed the possibility of making religious education more effective and time-befitting to align with contemporary demands.
