Dhaka:A Dhaka court has placed Jerika Tasnim Disha on a three-day fresh remand. Disha was seen with former Bangladesh Air Force officer Tahsif Souri in CCTV footage before his disappearance.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Manjurul Islam issued the order following the completion of Disha's previous four-day remand. Inspector Firoz Uddin of Tongi River Police camp, the case's investigating officer, presented Disha in court with a request for a seven-day remand.
Disha, 19, was arrested from her Kafrul residence early on November 1 and initially remanded for four days. Meanwhile, the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has detained Ahmed Shahriar Reza Dwip, a junior friend of Tahsif, in connection with Tahsif's death. Dwip was subsequently placed on a four-day remand in the murder case filed by Tahsif's father, KM Enayetul Karim, with Uttarkhan Police Station on October 30.
Tahsif's body was discovered on October 28 in the Rajabari Ghat area of the Turag River in Uttarkhan.
