Dhaka: Dhaka Education Board has secured the top position among nine general education boards with a 64.62 percent pass rate in the HSC and equivalent examinations this year.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a total of 2,92,160 students appeared in the HSC exams under Dhaka Board.
Among these students, 1,36,213 were male, achieving a pass rate of 61.66 percent, while 1,55,947 were female, with a pass rate of 67.20 percent. In total, 1,88,783 examinees passed the exam under Dhaka Board.
Conversely, Cumilla Education Board recorded the lowest pass rate at 48.86 percent. The average pass rate in the HSC examinations across the nine general education boards is 57.12 percent.
Overall, a total of 10,47,242 candidates sat for the HSC examinations under the nine boards this year, with 5,98,166 students successfully passing.
