Benapole: Director General (acting) of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Dr. Md Abu Jafor today visited the home of Abdullah, a martyr of the July-August uprising, at Boro Achra village under Sharsha upazila here. During his visit, Dr. Md Abu Jafor prayed for the eternal peace of Abdullah's soul and offered his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family. He also paid his respects at Abdullah's grave. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Abdullah, a 23-year-old student from the Political Science department of Shahid Suhrawardi College, sustained critical bullet injuries during the anti-discrimination student movement. He succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH) on November 14. In remembrance of Abdullah, Dr. Md Abu Jafor attended a view-exchange meeting near the martyr's grave. He assured that justice would be sought for every life lost during the July-August uprising, emphasizing the coordinated efforts to build a new Bangladesh inspired by the spirit of the movemen t. The visit was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Jashore S.M. Shahin and Sharsha Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kazi Nazib Hasan, among others.
