Destitute Elderly Women Celebrate with Fruits on Tarique Rahman’s Birthday

Dhaka: A social organisation named “Raktospondon” orchestrated a get-together and fruit festival for destitute elderly women at Apon Nibas Briddhasrom, a shelter for elderly women in the Dakshinkhan area of the capital.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was held to commemorate the birthday of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. The elderly residents participated in the fruit distribution and joined a doa mahfil, praying for the health and longevity of Tarique Rahman and the Zia family.



During the event, organisers checked on the health conditions of the elderly residents, engaged in conversations, and fostered a compassionate atmosphere. This gathering stood as a testament to humanity and empathy.



The overall arrangement was supervised by Raktospondon’s Chief Coordinator and DAB Joint Secretary General Dr. ANM Monowarul Kadir Bitu. The programme was led by Deputy Coordinator of Raktospondon and General Secretary of Universal Medical College Chhatra Dal Dr. MA Taiful Haque. Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal Joint General Secretary Md. Riaz Anwar Hossain and Raktospondon member Dr. AKM Mostafizur Rahman Ismam were also present.
