Dengue: Year’s Death Toll Crosses 100

Dhaka: Five people died of dengue, and 1,324 new patients were hospitalised across the country in the 24 hours until 8:00 am on Tuesday. With the latest fatalities, the dengue death toll has reached 102 in the country this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).



According to United News of Bangladesh, the new deaths were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation, Dhaka North City Corporation, Chattogram, and Mymensingh divisions. Among these, Dhaka South City Corporation recorded two fatalities.



Since January 1 this year, a total of 37,170 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country. Of them, 34,385 have been discharged after recovery.
