Dhaka:Eight additional dengue-related deaths and 2,036 new hospitalizations have been reported across the country in the past 24 hours.
According to United News of Bangladesh, these latest fatalities have increased the dengue death toll to 233 for the year, as reported by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The recent deaths include two individuals in Dhaka North City Corporation, and one each in Dhaka South City Corporation, Khulna, Chattogram, Barishal, Rajshahi, and Rangpur divisions.
Since the beginning of the year, a total of 70,750 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals nationwide, with 70,258 of them having recovered.
