Chattogram: City mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain announced the forthcoming establishment of a dengue management center and a large dialysis center for kidney patients under the auspices of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC). The announcement was made during his visit to Memon Maternity Hospital of CCC on Wednesday afternoon. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Shahadat expressed the intention to declare the specialized Memon Hospital as a 'Dengue Management Center' in response to the rising number of dengue cases in the port city. He emphasized that the hospital will be equipped with the latest pathological center to enhance services for dengue patients. Additionally, a dengue awareness campaign is set to launch in every ward of CCC to help prevent the further spread of the disease. Furthermore, the city corporation plans to establish a low-cost dialysis center to cater to kidney patients. The mayor reiterated his commitment to transforming the port city into a 'Green and Healthy city'.
