Chattogram: Two more people have died of dengue in the last 24 hours here, bringing the dengue-related death toll in the district to 12 this year.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a report issued by the Civil Surgeon's Office today indicates that a total of 87 dengue patients were hospitalized during the period. This continued rise in cases has put pressure on both government and private healthcare facilities in the district.
From January 1 to September 13 this year, the total number of dengue cases in the district has reached 2,883. Among these cases, 2,457 patients received treatment at government hospitals, while 426 were treated at private hospitals. The ongoing situation highlights the persistent challenge posed by dengue in the region and the need for effective measures to address the outbreak.
