Dhaka:Four people have died from dengue, and 1,181 individuals have been hospitalized due to infections in the last 24 hours until 800 am today, based on a regular report by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, these recent fatalities bring the total death toll from dengue this year to 335. The newly hospitalized dengue patients include 410 in Dhaka Division, 92 in Mymensingh Division, 242 in Chattogram Division, 140 in Khulna Division, 99 in Rajshahi, 71 in Rangpur Division, and 127 in Barishal Division.
The report indicates that 108,440 dengue patients have been hospitalized across the country this year. In the last 24 hours, 1,179 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals. Overall, 102,210 dengue patients have recuperated and returned home after treatment.
In contrast, last year saw a total of 102,861 dengue infections and 413 deaths.
