Chattogram:One more person has succumbed to dengue in Chattogram over the past 24 hours, with 96 new cases confirmed during the same period.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this latest fatality brings the district’s dengue death toll to 24 this year, as reported in the daily update from the Civil Surgeon's Office on Sunday, October 11.
Of the newly infected patients, 34 were admitted to CMC Hospital, 20 to upazila health complexes, 16 to private hospitals and clinics, 13 to the 250-bed Chattogram General Hospital, 10 to BITID, and three to CMH Chattogram.
In total, 5,455 people have contracted dengue in Chattogram this year.
