Dhaka: Adviser to the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, Professor Dr. Bidhan Ranjan Roy Podder, emphasized the importance of fostering democratic values across all levels of society during an event at the Primary Training Institute in Mirpur. He asserted that the practice of democracy plays a crucial role in reducing societal inequality and called for the cultivation of democratic practices in various sectors including schools, offices, and communities.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Podder made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at a film screening, cultural program, award distribution, and discussion session organized as part of the July Reawakening Festival 2025 by the Directorate of Primary Education. Dr. Podder also stressed the importance of honoring the sacrifices made by martyrs during the July Mass Uprising by striving to build a society free from discrimination. He mentioned that continuing these efforts would be a genuine tribute to their legacy.

The event was chaired by the Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education, Abu Noor Md. Shamsuzzaman, with Primary and Mass Education Secretary Abu Taher Md. Masud Rana speaking as a special guest. A minute of silence was observed at the beginning of the program in memory of the martyrs of the July Uprising.
