Delegation to Leave for US Tomorrow for 3rd Round of Tariff Talks

Dhaka: A government delegation will leave here for the United States tomorrow to participate in the third round of negotiations with the United States Trade Representative (USTR) aimed at reducing the increased tariffs on products exported from Bangladesh to the US market.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the third round of meetings on the tariffs imposed by the US is scheduled to take place on July 29-30 in Washington DC. Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman informed reporters at the secretariat office today about the upcoming negotiations.



The delegation includes National Security Adviser Dr. Khalilur Rahman, Commerce Adviser Sk. Bashir Uddin, Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman, and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce Dr. Naznin Kawser Chowdhury. They are set to depart from Dhaka for the United States tomorrow afternoon.
