DCCI and ERF Sign MoU to Boost Economic Cooperation and Research

Dhaka:A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and the Economic Reporters' Forum (ERF) Institute to enhance bilateral cooperation and conduct joint research activities. The signing took place at the DCCI auditorium.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, DCCI President Taskeen Ahmed and ERF President Doulot Akter Mala signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations.

DCCI Senior Vice President Razeev H Chowdhury emphasized the significant role of economic reporting in empowering domestic entrepreneurs and policymakers to tackle evolving economic challenges at both local and global levels. He expressed optimism that the joint initiatives, including training programs, workshops, seminars, research, and knowledge-sharing activities, would improve the skills of journalists covering the economic sector.

ERF President Doulot Akter Mala highlighted DCCI's longstanding experience and reputation in conducting research activities. She anticipated that the MoU would enable both organizations to undertake collaborative research on Bangladesh's economy, especially in trade and investment, thereby contributing to informed policymaking, necessary reforms, and private sector development.

The event was attended by notable figures including DCCI Secretary General Dr. A K M Asaduzzaman Patwary, ERF General Secretary Abul Kashem, and members of the ERF Executive Committee.
