Dhaka: A special iftar and doa mahfil organized by the leading English daily, Daily Industry, took place in the capital on Sunday. The event was presided over by the newspaper’s Editor, Dr. Enayet Karim, and saw the attendance of notable figures from the banking sector, media, business community, and academia.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Dr. Enayet Karim, while addressing the gathering, emphasized the significance of such events in fostering connections among professionals from various sectors. He remarked that Ramadan instills values of compassion, unity, and responsibility, expressing hope that this platform would enhance cooperation among journalists, business leaders, and the broader community for national development.
Distinguished attendees included A K Mizanur Rahman, Director of NRB Bank; Abu Bakkar Siddique Sohel, General Secretary of Barishal Zila Samity; Yunus Sohag, General Secretary of Bangladesh Sangbadpatra Shilpa Parishad; Mirza Mozammel Hossain, Vice-President of Barishal Metropolitan Chamber; Prof Moniruzzaman Shaheen, Inspector of the National University; and Riazur Rahman, President of the Secretariat Journalists Association.
The event brought together journalists, professionals, and guests from various sectors who participated in the iftar and engaged in a special prayer for the peace, prosperity, and ongoing progress of the country.
