Dhaka: The 8th Daffodil Captain Cup Golf Tournament was formally inaugurated at the Kurmitola Golf Club today, as announced in a press release. The event marks the beginning of a three-day golfing competition featuring participants from various regions.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Lieutenant General Mohammad Shahinul Haque, Commandant of the National Defence College and Vice President of Kurmitola Golf Club, alongside Dr Md Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil Family, officially opened the tournament as the chief guest. The inauguration ceremony was attended by notable figures including Professor Dr M. R. Kabir, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University; Dr Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Chief Executive Officer of Daffodil Family; Professor Dr Mohammad Masum Iqbal, Pro-Vice Chancellor; Dr Mohammed Nadir Bin Ali, Registrar; and Major (Retd.) Arman Ali Bhuyan, Project Director (Development) of Daffodil International University.
The tournament sees the participation of 650 male and female golfers competing in various categories. Participants have been drawn from both local and international locations, promising a competitive and engaging event.
