DAB Provides Free Medical Treatment to 1,000 Patients in Feni

Feni: The Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), Feni District Committee, organized a day-long medical camp on Tuesday, offering free treatment and medicines to 1,000 patients at Fulgazi Pilot Girls’ High School. The initiative primarily aimed at assisting individuals from flood-affected areas in Fulgazi and Parashuram upazilas.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, around 50 doctors provided healthcare services from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Zahirul Islam Shakil, Secretary General of the DAB Central Committee, who attended as the chief guest. This effort was organized in the Feni-1 parliamentary constituency under the directives of BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.



A pre-camp discussion meeting was chaired by DAB Feni District President Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun, with Dr. Mobarak Hossain Dulal serving as the moderator. The event saw participation from District BNP Convener Sheikh Farid Bahar as the chief guest and District BNP Member Secretary Alal Uddin Alal as a special guest. Other notable attendees included Dr. Parvez Reza Kanan, Dr. Tamiz Uddin Ahmed, Dr. Nurul Karim Chowdhury, and leaders from BNP, DAB, and allied organizations.



Dr. Mobarak Hossain Dulal noted that both local doctors and renowned physicians from Dhaka and Chattogram took part in the camp, providing free medicines. DAB Office Secretary Dr. Kamruzzaman Ziku mentioned that services covered various specialties such as medicine, gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology, ENT, surgery, dermatology, and sexually transmitted diseases.



Dr. Abdullah Al Mamun announced plans to organize similar free medical camps in five more upazilas of the district. He emphasized that the program began in BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia’s electoral constituency.
