Cumilla: Cumilla metropolitan and district south unit BNP and its affiliated bodies held a protest rally against Israeli barbaric attacks on Palestine and expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people. The protest march started from Kandirpar BNP office this afternoon and concluded at the same location after marching through Rajganj, Manoharpur, and Mogaltuli Circuit House.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, leaders and workers of BNP along with its affiliated bodies chanted slogans against Israeli actions. Common people also participated in the rally alongside the Cumilla Metropolitan BNP, demonstrating their support for the Palestinian cause.
The participants of the rally expressed their solidarity with the Palestinian people. Following the march, a solidarity rally was held in front of the party office, where central BNP Organizing Secretary Mostaq Mia, Cumilla Metropolitan BNP President Utbatul Bari Abu, General Secretary Yusuf Molla Tipu, South District BNP General Secretary Ashiqur Rahman Mahmud Wasim, and Adarsh Sadar Upazila BNP Convener Rezaul Qayyum addressed the gathering.
They alleged that the occupying Israeli forces are committing genocide against the Muslim brothers and sisters of Palestine, highlighting the indiscriminate killing of children and the bombing of various cities, including Gaza and Rafah. The local BNP leaders called on the UN and world leaders to immediately intervene to stop human rights violations and infanticide in Palestine.
The BNP has been organizing nationwide protest programs following the instructions of BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman.
