Chuadanga:Cultural Affairs Minister Nitai Roy Chowdhury emphasized the importance of involving the youth in the ideals of equality, humanity, and rebellion as exemplified by national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister highlighted that engaging young people with Nazrul's ideals is a primary objective of observing Nazrul Year. He noted that Nazrul's literary and philosophical contributions could significantly influence the development of young people into humane, non-communal, and patriotic citizens.

The minister made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at the closing and prize-giving ceremony of a week-long Nazrul Festival at the Chuadanga District Shilpakala Academy. The festival, held under the slogan "Jago Nabo Srishtir Mahanande," was part of the Nazrul Year celebrations.

Nitai Roy Chowdhury also stressed the necessity of collective efforts to protect youth from detrimental activities such as drug addiction and online gambling. He suggested that culture and sports could facilitate their engagement in constructive and positive activities. Furthermore, he mentioned that the ministry is actively promoting Bangladesh's indigenous culture, folk heritage, traditional sports, boat racing, and other cultural elements nationwide.

Additionally, initiatives are underway to more effectively present the country's art, literature, culture, and heritage to the younger generation.
