Dhaka: The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested two drug dealers with 3,000 yaba tablets in the city's Jatrabari area. The operation led to the apprehension of Jamal Uddin, 39, and Md Shaheen Alam, 38, who were identified as the suspects in this case.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a team from the CTTC conducted a raid at the Sayedabad bus terminal area around 12:45 am today, resulting in the arrest of these individuals and the seizure of the yaba tablets. This successful operation was part of an ongoing effort to tackle drug-related crime in the city.
The DMP media and public relations division's press release indicated that the process of filing a case against the two arrestees is underway at the Jatrabari Police Station. The DMP has reiterated its commitment to continuing such anti-drug operations to curb drug smuggling in the city.
