Chattogram: Chattogram Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Masud Alam has ordered strict vigilance to catch the fake notes makers, malam parties, and ignorant parties and to prevent robberies on the highways ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. At the same time, he directed all police stations and traffic units in the district to be on the highest alert to ensure the safe travel of people heading home.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, SP Md. Masud Alam gave these instructions while addressing the monthly meeting at the conference room of the Chattogram District Superintendent of Police office. He noted the possibility of an increase in crimes during the Eid vacation, emphasizing the need for enhanced intelligence surveillance to identify members of fake note gangs, malam parties, and ignorant parties. Additionally, he stressed the importance of strengthening highway patrols to ensure passenger safety.
The meeting also focused on further strengthening beat policing and community policing activities, with officials expressing that these measures would enhance the relationship between the police and the public, making crime prevention efforts more effective at the local level.
The meeting included a review of the overall law and order situation in the district, ongoing crime prevention activities, and the progress of significant cases in various police stations. The Superintendent of Police urged improvements in case investigation quality, the issuance of warrants, drug recovery, illegal weapons confiscation, and more effective steps to prevent theft and robbery. Officers-in-Charge (OCs), circle officers, and senior officials from 17 police stations in the district attended the meeting.
