Chattogram: Elections to the Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) will be held on May 23, 2026. Election Board Chairman Monowara Begum issued a notification today in this regard.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, after facing legal challenges and multiple delays, the election date has been confirmed to proceed as originally planned. The polling for electing 18 directors from the Ordinary and Associate Groups will take place on May 23 from 9 am to 4 pm at Agrabad World Trade Center in the city.
Earlier, the poll was postponed two times on the issue of voters’ inclusion. CCCI has a total of 6,780 members, including 4,001 ordinary and 2,764 associate. Two panels, one under the banner of United Business Forum and another in the name of Samamana Parishad, will contest.
Former FBCCI director Amirul Haque is leading United Business Forum, while Samamana Parishad will be led by former CCCI senior vice-president SM Nurul Haque.
