Dhaka: The Home Ministry in a recent meeting vowed to bring those involved in threatening the family members of the martyrs of the July-August uprising using social media to justice.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Home Ministry released a statement addressing the issue, highlighting that various types of threats, including death threats, are being made to the martyrs' families via social media platforms. The ministry emphasized its commitment to identifying and bringing the real culprits to justice promptly.
The ministry has also reiterated its commitment to ensuring the security of the families of the martyrs and those injured in the July-August movement. The statement further mentioned that any cases filed by the martyrs' family members will be investigated expeditiously.
In an effort to maintain transparency and communication, the meeting concluded with a decision to arrange bi-weekly meetings with the families of the martyrs. These meetings aim to keep them informed about the progress of their respective cases.
