Cox's Bazar:A three-month tourism carnival is set to commence in Cox's Bazar on November 1, 2026. This event, aimed at rebranding the beach destination, aspires to establish it as a vibrant, safe, and international-standard tourism hub to attract more foreign visitors.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Cox's Bazar Tourism Carnival 2026 will be held at the Hotel Shaibal premises and will continue until January 31, 2027. The Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation is organizing the event, with Spellbound Communications Limited managing the carnival. During a media briefing at Parjatan Bhaban, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation Chairman Md Samimuzzaman highlighted the need for the event, noting that while domestic tourist numbers have risen, foreign arrivals have lagged.

Samimuzzaman stated that many tourists have expressed the need for more entertainment options, especially after sunset. The carnival is designed to offer a variety of daytime and nighttime activities to enhance the tourist experience. It aims to present Cox's Bazar in a more attractive manner to both domestic and international tourists, with a particular focus on increasing foreign tourist numbers.

The carnival will feature diverse attractions, including food zones with local and international cuisine, craft villages showcasing local artisans' products, and wellness zones offering exercise and meditation. A kids' zone with art activities and safe rides, camping facilities with stargazing, and various sports and cultural events are also planned. Special programs will mark Victory Day, Christmas, and the English New Year, and a music program titled 'Wave of Music' will be staged on the beach.

Md Samimuzzaman expressed hope that the carnival would create job opportunities and support the socio-economic development of local communities. The event is intended to rebrand Cox's Bazar as a diverse, safe, and sustainable tourism destination.

Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation Director Md Gani Ul Azam mentioned that dignitaries, including ministers and lawmakers from the greater Cox's Bazar region, will attend various programs during the carnival. He emphasized the aim of adding a new dimension to the tourism experience in Cox's Bazar, integrating food, music, sports, culture, and family entertainment into the destination's traditional appeal.

Sadekul Arefin, Chief Executive Officer of Spellbound Communications Limited, presented the event outline, with officials from Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation and representatives of Spellbound Communications Limited in attendance.
