The Ministry of Health and Population said that no one tested positive for Coronovirus infection on Sunday, dropping the infection case to zero.
According to the Ministry, the number of infected people in the test conducted on 760 suspected ones was zero.
There are currently 17 active cases of Coronavirus infection in the country. None of them are in ICU or ventilator support, it was shared.
The decreasing infection rate in Nepal has been attributed to the success achieved in vaccination drive in the country as of May this year besides declining infection rate in India in the recent days.
The infection was increasing in Nepal after new Omicron XBB 1.16 variant was detected in Nepal in last April.
The World Health Organization recently declared that there was no public health emergency of COVID-19 given the decline of infection rate lately.
