Naogaon: A couple was killed in a road accident at Khalishakuri intersection of the city in Naogaon district today. The deceased were Afaz Uddin, 55, and his wife Bilkis Banu, 50, residents of Kola Palsa village in Chatangram union under Adamdighi upazila in Bogura district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place on the Naogaon-Santahar road around 2pm when a truck hit a motorcycle from the opposite direction, leaving the bike rider couple dead on the spot. Noor Alam Siddiqui, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Naogaon Sadar Police Station, confirmed the incident.
Police recovered the bodies and sent them to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection.
