The country has witnessed a record for power generation this year as today's generation was 15,304 megawatts electricity at 9pm.
According to the Bangladesh Power Development Board (BPDB), currently the country has 23,482MW grid connected electricity generation capacity.
Of the total capacity, 15,304MW power was generated today breaking all previous records. It is the highest daily power generation in the country's history.
As much as 15,304 MW of electricity was produced at 9pm (peak hour) today, BPDB Director (public relations) Shamim Hasan told BSS.
