Dhaka: Social Welfare Adviser Sharmin S Murshid today emphasized the importance of building the country with the spirit of the July Mass Uprising of 2024. She highlighted the crucial role of youth in shaping a nation rooted in talent and technical expertise.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Murshid made this statement during her address as the chief guest at a workshop titled 'Counseling Unit and Cyber Safety Unit.' The event was organized by the Nirapad Alliance at the International Mother Language Institute auditorium in the capital. She stressed the need to encourage youth and move forward in building a future with them, focusing on technical skill development.
Highlighting the dedication of the youth, the social welfare adviser recalled their pivotal role during the July Uprising in 2024. She noted that the movement's success was largely due to the spirit and efforts of the youth and adolescents, who stood firmly against fascism.
Murshid also remarked on the enduring memory of those who sacrificed their lives for the nation, asserting that the people of Bangladesh would never forget their contributions. She added that the Social Welfare Ministry, along with the Women and Children Affairs Ministry, continues to support these young individuals.
