Keraniganj:Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Md Amanullah Aman, stated that the country is currently governed with fairness under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's leadership. He made these remarks while speaking as the chief guest at the foundation stone-laying ceremony of the 'Sharif Jame Mosque Islamic Complex' in Sharif Nagar, Konakhola, Keraniganj.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Aman, who is also a member of the BNP standing committee, highlighted that former Prime Minister Deshnetri Begum Khaleda Zia had great respect for Islamic scholars and ulema. During her tenure, no actions were taken that would dishonor Islam.

Aman praised the initiative of the new mosque complex, describing it as a step towards spreading the correct teachings of Islam and producing Huffaz of the Quran. He emphasized that the government will not tolerate activities contrary to Islam.

Addressing Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's leadership, Aman noted that the Prime Minister has begun implementing his commitments to the people in stages. He also criticized the election system of the past 17 years, claiming that voting used to occur at night. However, he asserted that the elections in which he was elected as a Member of Parliament were conducted neutrally under a caretaker government.

Md Razzab Sharif, Chairman of Sharif Jame Mosque Islamic Complex and Managing Director of Sharif Group, presided over the inaugural function. The event was attended by key figures including Director General of the Islamic Foundation Mufti Mohammad Mohibbullahil Baqee Nadvi, Sharif Group Director Razia Sharif Jhony, Khatib of Dhanmondi Mosque Mufti Saiful Islam, veteran politician Alhaj Nazim Uddin, and Keraniganj Model Thana BNP General Secretary Hasmat Ullah Nabi.
