Consensus Commission’s Meeting with Political Parties Commences at Foreign Service Academy

Dhaka: A meeting of the National Consensus Commission with political parties to discuss the overall preparations and other issues regarding the July National Charter signing ceremony began at the Foreign Service Academy here this evening. Commission Chairman and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus joined the meeting.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, leaders of different political parties including Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, National Citizen Party (NCP), and Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party) were present at the meeting, among others. Earlier, a meeting of the National Consensus Commission was held at the State Guest House Jamuna this afternoon with Commission Chairman and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus in the chair.



Commission Vice-President Professor Ali Riaz, members Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Safar Raj Hossain, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Dr. Badiul Alam Majumdar, and Dr. Md Aiyub Mia, alongside Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser Monir Haidar, attended the meeting. Additionally, National Security Adviser Dr. Khalilur Rahman and Principal Secretary to the Chief Adviser M Siraz Uddin Miah were also present.



The signing ceremony of the July National Charter 2025 is scheduled to be held on October 17 at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the capital city.
