Consensus Commission Set to Deliver Final Report to Interim Government

Dhaka: The National Consensus Commission is poised to submit its final report to the interim government soon. Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz announced this development during a meeting held at the State Guest House Jamuna, chaired by Commission Chairman and Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the hour-long meeting focused on the contents of the July Charter, the implementation process, and the opinions of political parties on these matters. The Consensus Commission's stance on these issues was also shared during the meeting.

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus expressed satisfaction with the progress of the Commission's work. Commission Vice-Chairman Professor Ali Riaz noted that the Commission had received extensive cooperation from all political parties and unprecedented support from the media.

Professor Yunus extended his gratitude and best wishes to all Commission members, urging them to inform him about the final progress of the Commission's work as quickly as possible.

The meeting was attended by Commission members Justice Md Emdadul Haque, Dr Iftekharuzzama, Dr Badiul Alam Majumder, Dr Md Ayub Miah, and Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Monir Haider. Advisers of the interim government, including Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan, Professor Dr Asif Nazrul, and Adilur Rahman Khan, were also present.
