Consciousness Created to Build a New Bangladesh: Fakhrul

Dhaka: BNP Secretary General and Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has announced that a new consciousness has emerged among the people following the July uprising, aiming to build a new Bangladesh. He emphasized the crucial role that engineers must play in the nation’s development and reconstruction. Fakhrul highlighted the high expectations people have from engineers, urging them to take a more active, responsible, and effective role in this process.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fakhrul delivered these remarks while serving as the chief guest at a reception organized to commemorate the 78th founding anniversary of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) held at its auditorium in Ramna. He acknowledged the significant role of IEB, not just as an organization of engineers but as a pivotal contributor to various aspects of Bangladesh’s progress and development.



Fakhrul reiterated the historical struggles for independence and democracy, noting that a new consciousness has arisen among the common people to construct a new Bangladesh. He called for unity among all to achieve this vision. The event was presided over by the President of IEB, Mohammad Riazul Islam.



The reception also honored several engineers and public representatives for their special contributions to various sectors, including Sanjida Islam (Tuli), MP, Moeenul Islam Khan (Shanto), MP, and Md. Ashraf Uddin (Bokul), MP. The event was attended by engineers, representatives from various professions, and distinguished individuals from different walks of life.
