Mymensingh:The inaugural Community Police Kabaddi Championship commenced today at the Circuit House ground, drawing a lively crowd and a festive atmosphere.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Mymensingh Deputy Commissioner Md Saifur Rahman officially inaugurated the event by releasing balloons, while Mymensingh Police Superintendent Mohammad Kamrul Hasan presided over the ceremony.
The tournament is organized by the Mymensingh District Police in collaboration with the District Sports Association. Notable attendees included District Sports Association member secretary AKM Mahbubur Rahman and District Sports Officer Al-Amin, who participated as special guests.
Teams from all 14 upazilas of Mymensingh are competing in both boys' and girls' categories. The event has attracted local sports enthusiasts, players, and police officials, contributing to the vibrant opening ceremony.
The championship's final match is scheduled for Wednesday, October 7.
