Jaleshwor: Commissioner at Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), Jay Bahadur Chand, has said country would not see progress until it wiped out corruption.
Addressing a programme organized by CIAA’s Jaleshwor Office on ‘corruption control and good governance promotion’ here Thursday, Commissioner Chand urged all people’s representatives and civil servants to devote to country’s prosperity by curbing corruption.
The programme was attended by people’s representatives from 10 municipalities and five rural municipalities of Mahottari districts, chief district officer, chiefs of security bodies and representatives from various civil society organizations. Chand reminded that even the future generation of those involved in corruption will be tainted.
On the occasion, chief of district coordination committee, Suman Lal Karna, viewed the programme was organized to remind the public servants on their duties and responsibilities towards country and people.
