Dhaka: Inter-education board coordination committee today asked all colleges to remain careful about the qualification of the admission seekers in the XI class of the 2025-2026 academic session under the Freedom Fighter quota. A notice from the coordination committee emphasized the importance of ensuring that only eligible students apply under this category.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notice specified that to qualify for the Freedom Fighter quota, a student must be the child of a freedom fighter or a martyred freedom fighter. Furthermore, the coordination committee has instructed grandchildren of freedom fighters, who have applied and authenticated their candidacy, to cancel their application, communicate with the concerned board, and resubmit their application by September 1, 2025.
The committee issued the notice to all concerned as per sub-section 3.2 of the "Class XI Admission Policy-2025". The notice further stated that students selected under this quota must submit an attested copy of the gazette of the Freedom Fighter and present the original document at the time of admission.
The notice also warned that if these requirements are not met, the board authorities will not be responsible for any complications that may arise in the admission process later.
