CMUJ Hosts Prayer Session for Khaleda Zia’s Health Recovery

Chattogram: Chattogram Metropolitan Union of Journalists (CMUJ) organized a Khatme Quran and Doa Mahfil, seeking divine blessings for the swift recovery of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. The event, held at CMUJ's auditorium, saw participation from numerous journalists, professionals, and religious leaders with CMUJ President Mohammed Shah Nowaz presiding.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the gathering highlighted the contributions of Khaleda Zia in promoting democracy and advancing the nation's development over her extensive political career spanning more than four decades. The speakers paid tribute to her efforts for the welfare of the journalist community and for supporting media freedom.

The event featured remarks from Ctg Press Club (CPC) Member Secretary Zahidul Karim Kachi, CMUJ General Secretary Saleh Noman, CPC's Executive Committee Members Mustafa Nayeem and Golam Mowla Murad, and several CMUJ leaders, including Mazumder Nazim Uddin, Shahidul Islam, Aminul Islam, Mahbubul Mowla Ripon, and Hasan Mukul.

Moulana Mohammad Habibullah led the Doa Mahfil and Munajat, offering prayers for the health and recovery of Begum Khaleda Zia.
